LABOR AND BIRTH
At the end of your pregnancy we are in close contact. When we have established you are in labor your midwives will come to your home.
We believe that mothers and parents know best how to birth their baby. We are witnesses to this process and work to maintain a physical and emotional safety net as you birth yourself, and your baby into a new phase of life. We believe that birth is a normal, physiological event and have the utmost reverence to this rite of passage.
We are well trained to keep you in the “normal” realms and are constantly assessing and taking action if you are not. Our hands have been well trained to resolve complications that can arise during birth. When transport to the hospital is necessary we go with you and serve as an advocate by your side until you give birth.
